Sakura Kasugano goes to Tamagawa-Minami High School and is fascinated with the art of fighting. Her friends think this fervid quest toward martial-arts perfection isn't something that should occupy the mind of a high-school girl. One day, Sakura caught a glimpse of Ryu at a tournament and subsequently became infatuated with him. She wants to emulate him, and even sports a similar bandanna. She's developed a Hadoken, a variation of the Dragon Punch called a Sho-oken, and a variation of the Hurricane Kick called the Shun-pu-Kyaku. Pretty impressive for a 15 year old girl! Her style resembles Ryu's Shotokan Karate style, but it has a mix of unorthodox moves so it's safe to assume Sakura is mostly self-taught. Even more impressive is that she is also able to perform a variation of the Shun Goku Satsu, a maneuver only Akuma is capable of! Sometimes she appears as Evil Sakura, with similar attributes as Evil Ryu and Akuma. |
