It was the uneasiest of meetings the village had ever seen when Wakka and the rest were introduced to Chappu—who was obviously and apparently well.

Chappu and Lulu decided to stay in the village, with the child who would not die, and with each other.

The three young girls and the ronso had to drag Wakka away from his brother and the baby, telling him they had to find out why such things were happening.

………………………………………………………

"Might be a good idea, ya" Wakka said rather blankly, watching the island disappear as he stared out the airship window. "Might be a good idea to get away from the island…after what happened."

"Wakka," Rikku said, her bounciness gone. "I understand. In the war with Yevon… I saw a little boy die… he was only five."

"I mean…" Wakka started and shivered. "I mean if it had to happen it could have happened another way."

"I heard what spider venom does," Rikku said. "From Paine."

"That’s why…" Wakka said. "I hate spiders. Nasty ugly things and I hate ‘em. Can’t stand ‘em."

"You’re afraid of spiders?"

"Only big ones, ya." Wakka said.

"You haven’t had a nightmare about spiders, have you?"

"Wha? Nah. At least I can’t remember."

"I’m gonna go see how Yuna’s doing, okay? You gonna be alright?"

"Ya, I think so… I mean, as good as I’m gonna get."

……………………………………………………………………….

"Hey Yunie?" Rikku asked opening the door.

"Well, fine!" Paine yelled, opening it at the same time and crashed right into Rikku. Paine picked herself up and stomped off, not bothering to even look at Rikku, let alone help her up.

"What happened to her?"

"She’s mad that we can’t just fly into the city past the guards and land on the trees. She’s also mad that I said we shouldn’t resort to violence in case of emergencies. As in we can’t run away."

"It’s like she’s dating that sword of hers," Rikku said. "Yunie, did you know Wakka’s afraid of spiders?"

"He’s not that afraid," Yuna said. "Of course I knew. I grew up with him."

"Yuna… I think this is all creepy."

Yuna nodded. "What are we going to do with him?"

"Him who?"

"Paine wants to barge in because she thinks it’s all connected too, and that my nightmares have something to do with all this."

"He’s already dead, he couldn’t have caused this mess."

"No, I mean… Chappu came back, he’d definitely come back. Especially if nightmares are coming true."

"He’ll just get in the way. He can’t do anything serious anymore. We’ll tie him up with his own hair if he tries anything," Rikku said, bouncing slightly.

"What will the guado think of us killing him again?"

"Well, he started it," Rikku said. "If they can’t understand that, they’re all a bunch of babies."

"Armed babies," Yuna pointed out.

"…Oh," Rikku said. "That’s a good point."

"How—"

"Rikku, Yuna!" Wakka yelled from the hallway. "Butts out on the deck! I dunno what it is, but it’s got big teeth!"
