Personality: Utako was a normal child at first. To some degree, she still is. When she was young, she was the usual athletic, energetic tomboy.

As she grew up, though, she felt neglected by her parents. Tommy was the older child and got the recognition for being the ‘good girl.’ Aya was the youngest and got the attention for being a ‘bad girl.’ Utako felt she got less attention and her parents expected too much of her for their neglect. She likes hitting every single nerve she can in conversation and is sardonic and caustic. She developed a mild OCD of kleptomania, taking random useless junk from places.

Utako is very interested in bondage and sadomasochism and is somewhat of a nympho. Utako is interested in the creepy, the strange, and the morbid. She wrote several poems and made many drawings. They were so creepy, though, that Kasumi became scared that her girl was beginning to resemble her sister, Megami, and confronted her. Utako broke a mirror in the fight and from then on, Kasumi’s been afraid of her daughter.

As much as Utako is obsessed with blood, bondage, and death, she knows the difference between fantasy and reality. She doesn’t let on to her parents, though, but her girlfriend Gunhilda understands perfectly.

As Sailormercury, Utako is fairly reckless. Because Sailormoon is equally tough and stubborn, Utako quickly takes sides, assuming Sailromoon is a good leader and a tough warrior.
