Name origin: The pharaoh Amenhotep--later changing it to Akhenaten--tried to convert all of Egypt to monotheism.  Unlike other prophets claimign there was but one god, this did really go over well and once his son Tutankaten--later Tutankamen--took the throne, the people threw out the new sun god and went back to their original several hundred.
