The young heroine of the story, Nadia. She knows nothing about her birthplace or her family. The only memento she possesses is the Blue Water, a shining jewel. As long as she can remember, she's been in the circus. Her only friend is King, a lion cub. While in Paris with the circus, she meets up again with her constant pursuers, the Grandis gang, who are after her Blue Water. Assisted by Jean, she evades the gang but ends up on a huge, very unexpected, journey into her past and the future of the planet. While she has a vicious tongue and a sometimes unbearable attitude (especially about her vegetarianism), she is truly kind at heart and wishes for the happiness of those around her. |
