Background Info | One of the first Laguz characters to join the mercenaries on their journey, Lethe holds very little trust in Beorc, she is never reluctant to share her feelings, often in a blunt manner. She is also quite intelligent, which makes her stance on Beorc somewhat more ambivalent. Initially, she outright hates Beorc because she knows how they enslaved the Laguz for centuries, but she is also smart enough to realize that its folly to refuse any kind of aid a Beorc might give out of spite. Lethe's first meeting with Ike does not go smoothly. After she and Mordecai save Ike's company from being crushed by a superior Daein force, she grows especially angry at Soren's insults, and orders Mordecai to attack him. Ike manages to defuse the situation however, and escorts the group to Gallia's seat of power to meet King Caineghis. She then joins Ike's group by order of her king. Even though she resents this assignment at first, continued exposure to the idealistic Beorc she travels with softens her a little. However, it is perhaps Jill who has the most impact on her. At first, Jill's obviously ignorant questions infuriate Lethe greatly. But when she sees Jill shedding her racist beliefs, Lethe too comes to believe that perhaps Beorc and Laguz can learn to live together. |
