| Background Info | A mysterious young lady who fell from space, cradled in a golem's arm. Saved by Dean and Rebecca, with whom she quickly became friends. She suffers from amnesia, remembering only her name and the words "Johnny Appleseed". During the journey, Avril regains her memories as the Ice Queen and realizes that she’s caught in a constant time loop. The name Johnny Appleseed is actually a title for the leader of the Veruni, which Captain Bartholomew holds. Even though she knows the outcome of her journey, she follows through it with a strong resolve. In the ending, the Cloud of Evil takes over the TF System Tower, causing a dimensional turbulence that threatens to destroy Filgaia with an explosion. Avril goes inside the tower alone to stop the system. However, the turbulence will send her consciousness back 12,000 years into the past Ice Queen’s body, while IQ’s consciousness will take over Avril’s body in the present. Ultimately, the game’s events will keep repeating over and over again. The shock from the time travel will cause Avril’s amnesia when she meets Dean for the first time (again). After Avril returns to the past, a different-mannered Avril exits the tower and hands Dean a letter. In the letter, the real Avril explains that the Avril standing before Dean is the Ice Queen, who has likewise lost her memories. The Ice Queen will stay with Dean to help the Humans and Veruni regain trust in each other. Avril would have liked to stay in the present and help rebuild Filgaia. But as the Ice Queen explains, if Avril didn’t enter the tower, a time paradox will occur where she didn’t prepare to ensure Dean’s success with each repetition of time. In effect, she would’ve erased herself and the Ice Queen from history. Despite this tragic outcome, Avril is happy to have met Dean and will relive her memories with him during coldsleep, awaiting the day when she’ll see him again 12,000 years later... |
