beach, since it's just about summer, and they really should work on their tans,
sandcastle-skills and whatnot... (Running around to avoid the villagers doesn't leave one

comment: The only comment I have to make as an artist is that I hope the picture
gives you a feeling of how hot it is on the beach. I stuck with bright colors (except on
the blanket, for the sake of contrast), and layered hot white highlights on top of the
line art. You can see this technique most clearly on the golden headpiece. I'd be
interested to hear how well you feel the image succeeds in this respect, conveying tactile
data through visuals. Even if this picture is not the most artistically accomplished work
entered into this contest, it will most certainly be among the most cheap and
manipulative. |

elements themselves - here she pulls a "Moses." Done in Bryce 3D, using a Poser
3 model with a few morphs and a hair prop by the talented
JeffH, and Amorphum to make the skull. I can't speak highly enough of Metacreations and
Play. |

look as much like themseves as possible... I colored it in watercolor paints, so the
colors scan in a bit lighter than usual. Wish I had a better scanner, I thought it looked

think it looks pretty good this way too... I hope it can compare with the other entries!

comment: Naga, the Serpent, is taking a sun bath. In the bikini I tried
to use colors that blend well with her hair. Well, we all know how Naga loves candy, so, a
cherry lolypop would be good, I thought. The dark color of the hair makes a good contrast
to the clear beach sand and sky. And to finish, a cutie look in the her face, after all,

comment: Here are the Slayers at the beach! The cast from NEXT up to
their wacky tricks again. To avoid confusion, the hermit crab's name is "Wee Billy
Winkle" (Xelloss, MUST you mess with Gourry's "mind"?) and Lina is
holding a Dragon/Dino TOY. Tried to make all the characters look as much like themselves
as possible again. Colored it in (the artist's enemy:) colored pencils and ( the
accursed:) markers... ran out of watercolors... I think it looks pretty good anyway tho'!
I pride myself on
a job well done! Please don't mind the tripped out background... *^.^* *sigh* Hope
