| The subject for AMOK05
is 'Getting all fancy with Final Fantasy..'. We've done a contest with
costumes from the past already, so this one's going to be a bit different - dress
characters from the final fantasy universe in costumes from other series. Rinoa in Lum's
bikini, Tifa battling the badguys in Priss's Hardsuit.. whatever! There's oodles of
characters to choose from in FF, so there's bound to be a few you like to draw. :) Let your fantasy run wild! Don't forget to check the introduction page and check out the sponsor's website as well as the
prizes they're offering.

share similarities... I also never noticed how much red is used in the design of fatal
fury characters. I present to you Squall Higashi, Blue Terra, Tifa Shiranui, Cloud Bogard,
and battling in the back is Seifer Howard and Sephiroth Bogard. I enjoyed doing this

comment: Both are dark-haired, long-legged and
busty beauties with a predilection for wearing really short dresses/skirts. So Tifa
Lockhart as Ginrei from Giant Robo was a natural. What I didn't anticipate was how
indistinguishable they would be (Tifa even wears black sleeve gloves normally)! So I
retained Tifa's boots to help maintain her identity. Unfortunately, it hurt the image a
little once I added the color. Oh well. Speaking of color, this is the first color CG I've
ever posted (Photoshop 5). I intentionally went for a watercolor-on-pencil style (as it's
about all I can handle right now). I'm mighty pleased with the results! |

comment: I dunno how well I'll be liked by the
webmaster for using Yuffie, but here's the background. Before I made the Tifa-Ginrei
connection, her similar figure to Mai Shiranui came to mind. But it was too obvious, and
besides, the idea was already taken. Then I made the ninja connection and the thought of
skinny Yuffie in Mai's D-cup costume was too amusing to let slip, even after I'd chosen to
take the Ginrei route. Thus, I present my second CGS piece (though someone mysteriously
posted a couple of my Taki pieces a long while back). Mai in Yuffie's clothes was an
afterthought as well, but again, too funny to leave out. I think My CGing is a little
stronger on this pic than the previous one. |

thought the artwork to nazca was gorgeous and I noticed that Sephiroth looked a lot like
Tate, so I decided to give it a try. After I finished it, I thought they looked even more
alike! Anyway, I also figured Nazca was a rare enough anime that hopefully other people
